ES13Raven
I've read that on a controlled pair, if your second shot is high - your recoil spring may be too light. If the gun is cycling reliably, how else can you tell if a recoil spring is too light?
SterlingSomeone
I focus and feel how forceful the slide goes back once a bullet is shot . Recently my slide was violently coming back on my m&p pro with some factory ammo and a 13 ismi spring. (I usually shoot 135 gr bayou bullets I load myself). I threw a 15lbs then a 17lbs spring and what a difference in recoil management and second shot follow up.
ZackJones
Get someone to film you shooting the gun and see what it does.
