Spring weight for lightened glock 35 slide

I've been having a hell of a time with ftf's after lightening my glock 35 slide. Cut is very similar to zev dragon fly. I'm shooting factory ammo high pf. I've tried captured 13 and 15 pound ismi springs with no success. I've also tried uncaptured 13 pound round wire spring, which I think is working. What's the consensus of which spring works. Trying to avoid buying a whole set of springs to figure out the one that will work.

Try the factory spring. G3 or 4?

Gen4...factory spring ejects rounds straight up.

I use an uncaptured 15lb ISMI spring with 172 power factor rounds.

On a gen 4 you'd need that little adapter from zev to run the extended recoil rod.

Also how are your mags set up and how are the mag springs. The slide can outrun the magazine if you have weak springs.

Shooting major or minor? I ran a 13 with 2 coils cut for minor and a straight 13 for major in my cut G24 slide. A factory spring assembly wasn't even close to working with minor ammo. Stove pipe city.

Shooting major 40. Factory loads. Didn't think about the magazine springs, they are getting a little old. Ran a 13pound uncaptured round wire spring this weekend and never had a issue

I stick with 13lb springs in my 35. it does sound like mag springs could be an issue here.

I run factory .40 ammo in my G35. My slide is not lightened so this may be a little apples and oranges but, the red Zev which, I think, is 14lbs runs great in mine.

Your slide is returning to fast.

Fixes... Stronger mag spring

....cut coils from recoil spring (long explanation why, but it slows spring rate)

...polish up the mag lips.
