MrPostman
Do you shoot right or left handed?
Hi-Power Jack
Sounds like a grip problem. The 2011 is quite a bit different than the Xdm. Probably just have to play with the grip a bit, and problem should go away.
GrumpyOne
Practice practice practice.
Mark R
Use tighter weak hand grip and timing of the second shot is imperative. The recoil pulse of those two firearms are different and probably throwing you off. Do what Grumpy says...Practice.

MrPostman
You may want to try a thumbrest as well, it helps alot with your weak hand grip.
mro111lland
Have one already
Mark R
I recently removed my thumbrest...it was causing my weak hand to ride too far up and back and not getting a good weld on the weak hand.
MrPostman
If you find that you miss it Mark let me know. I can make you a custom one that sits farther away from the grip if you think that would help.
MrPostman
Have one already That may be part of the problem then, its easy to drive the gun with the rest and it can do what you describe if that is what is happening. If the gun is shooting left on the follow up shot then try to grip the gun the same with both hands and just let your thumb rest without applying force to the rest. The gun should recoil up and down again instead of to the left.
