DyNo!
Is there an Aimpoint mount that attaches to the left side of the frame and doesn't obstruct the ejection port? I suppose this one could be mounted backwards - but I'd rather stick with something that is used as intended.
BeerBaron
I think it wont work. think about it. the big adjustment knob would be facing down to the slide. sight would need to be super high. that's why they mounted it on the right like that. BoyGlock
In that configuration it does not block the ejection port as the port is way past the mount at the instant the slide travels to the rear and extracts the empty shell.
troupe
I wonder if that set up would work on the Primary Arms sight. It has the same mounting screws in the bottom.
bmiller
Mount would have to be on the other side of the pistol. They are a mirror image of each other. The T-1 is on the left. The primary arms on the right.

PPGMD
I have a similar mount, but it is made by Millennium Custom Guns. It doesn't block the ejection port as noted. And it mounts really low to the slide.
DyNo!
Mount would have to be on the other side of the pistol. They are a mirror image of each other. The T-1 is on the left. The primary arms on the right. So you could mount it on the other side with the primary arms dot. Neat - I am interested in giving it a shot. I want to get away from the C-More's adjustment. Tino2212
You could but this wil put the sight further to the front of your gun . Normaly this is a setback mount on the other side it wil become a reach forward . Edited September 16, 2015 by Tino2212

I would say yes. The primary arms red dot is a great dot for the $69 I paid for it, but it is NOT an aim point . I was looking at that new Trijicon dot in the latest Guns and Ammo, that might have potential as well. I don't think you would want to mount it at a 90. PPGMD
Oh for those considering Aimpoint, they are working on a 9 MOA dot H-2.
sfinney
Just to reiterate, the above pictured mount is NOT blocking the ejection port. When the shell comes out the slide will be to the rear, and the case leaves rearward of the back of the barrel chamber?
AZGunut
Derek at Millenium Custom made these mounts a while back. They are truly bad ass but currently unavailable.
Jim O'Young
Briley makes a really nice mount designed specifically for the Aimpoint Micro sights, which attaches to their modular shim system. Here are pictures of it on their 1911 Platemaster steelgun: www.brileypd.com/platemaster.html I have been using it since 2009. My gun is the one with the Black Kitanica beetle grips. It will also work on a 2011. Give Claudio a call, tell him I sent you and he will take great care of you.
