rbebeau
Can someone explain to me the pros and cons of a bull barrel. Is it an accuracy thing or just adding weight to the front of the gun?

EngineerEli
You're basically removing the weight of the bushing from the reciprocating slide and adding it to the barrel that is relatively stationary. The less reciprocating mass, the faster and lighter the recoil impulse with a given gun/load hence all the crazy slide lightening you see. (To and extent at least) It does also give you more weight out near the muzzle.
