rustybayonet
Does anyone use or have tried the old load data for this powder. I was going to try some 12ga and when looking up the old data found some info on using it for 45acp.
Hi-Power Jack
I used to use 2400 for my .41 mag with heavy loads - believe Elmer Keith preferred this powder also. I never tried it with a .45 - probably have to be heavy loads, if it works at all.
aandabooks
I have load data developed for it with .44mag and a 240gr and 300gr bullets. I actually prefer AA#9. I don't think I've ever even seen data for loading it in .45. It is a very slow powder so I imagine the recoil will be extra stout. It would probably be a near compressed load by time you get enough in the case.
wgj3
This a slow(magnum) pistol powder. Not gonna blow up a gun with it, but without a heavier load/bullet and some barrel length for complete powder burn it likelg would not be ideal for .45. bfalcon00
Yeah I can't imagine it would work that well in 45 ACP. Do yourself a favor and get some unique, bullseye, or red dot you'll like the load much better.
