f2benny
I have two comps to choose from to pin on a 14.5 upper, a Yankee Hill Phantom and VG6 Gamma. Any experience with these to help me decide which one to use?
BitchinCamaro
The Yankee is a flash hider. If you need an actual comp, then that other one will likely function as one.
f2benny
Mine is the comp version, not the fh version which is more common I guess.
hartofthethumb
I have the VG6 Epsilon on my latest build. It is pretty effective, and a great all around device, but obviously not as effective as something like the JP brakes, Jerry Michulek, Armalite, etc. That said, in one of the tests on youtube where they compared a bunch of brakes, the Gamma performed better than the Epsilon, IIRC. The test I saw only measured linear recoil reduction though... I have no experience at all with the YHM part, so I guess I really have no tangible value to add to the conversation about which of the two is better. Based on the looks of the designs I would assume the Gamma to do a much better job, but what do I know?
