moverton
I was shooting seek this morning. My buckmark kept having light strikes. A squad member asked me how long I had owned it. I then realized I have had it for 25 years and have never replaced the spring. My question, what.all should I replace while I doing it? Firing pin and spring, recoil spring and ??? zzt
Buckmark parts are cheap. Replace everything in the top end except the slide. Buy replacements for all the external parts that come loose when you clean the pistol.
Ming the Merciless
Browning has discontinued the pre-2000 firing pin and they seem to be out of stock at all the usual sources. Two different guys on Rimfire Central are working on making new firing pins, but so far I haven't seen any parts. If your firing pin isn't too badly peened, I would just replace the recoil spring B5150481 or the whole assembly B5152684. I would also change the main spring B5152478. You can find disassembly instructions in the Browning sub forum stickies. If the light strikes are the only problems you are having I would not replace any other parts since parts like the extractor require fitting.
