Glock 41 Magazine Dropping

Out of Ammo

don't slam your mag into the gun. If the mag is fully loaded and you load into a closed action it will go in tight. Push on the base of the mag with the pad of your thumb and you will hear and feel it click into place. Chances are it is operator error just because you are new to the gun. It is possible that something is wrong but not that likely.. Load an empty mag into the gun with the slide open...you can feel it snap in.....now push on the top of the mag to see if it come out...if not its you not the gun.

Slamming the mag in will work but if you don't do it right it may not lock and on the first shot it will slip down and not strip the next round or cause it to jam.....or fall free from the gun.

Same problem with a new 41.  Shot fine with all factory parts but when put in a lone wolf alpha wolf barrel with ss guide rod and #22 spring immediately dropped magazines including one that was new.  Replaced guide rod with factory rod but kept lone wolf barrel and continued to drop magazines.  Had a friend who has glocks shoot it and same result. This all with hardball.  Will try again with factory barrel and guide rod but fear will have same result.  Should also mention that pulled mag catch and could see no wear/rounding, etc.  This is my first glock and have been shooter for over 60 years.  Not too impressed!

You took a brand-new GLOCK, which you say shot fine with factory parts, and then replaced a number of those factory parts with aftermarket items. It THEN started to fail. And now you're 'not too impressed!'

Are you not too impressed with the gun, or your decision to take a fully functional pistol and alter it to the point of failure?
