kimberacp
6 shots at 25 yards - no time limit. Smallest group possible is the goal. Correct, the number one exercise! It is the foundation to all of your shooting! shooting groups at 25 yds.

MarkCO
Scrambler drill.please explain ...? Two boxes, wall or sticks to define two shooting areas. One target centred. Move side to side shooting only one round. Hit or miss move to other side. Need 10 hits. I do 15 yards for pistol and shotgun, 100 yards for rifle. I started with a 10" plate and dropped to 8 and now a skinny Sammy. Teaches you to respect all the necessary skills except splits.
Sac Law Man
That a good drill, I use a popper at 20 yards set up so it wont fall and two shooting boxes or Bianchi Barricades..

I think that is how Manny Bragg set it up the first time I saw it and tried it.

Steel Challenge 10"/12" plates should work just fine although I may be a bit too old to do that much running around ....
MarkCO
It really helps you figure out the correct amount of focus to not miss. . Miss too much, kind of like running laps.

jstagn
For the 25yd. no time limit drill, do you use a dot or something to indicate the aiming point of just try to shoot the A zone?
Hi-Power Jack
do you use a dot or shoot the A zone? I've never tried it, but I'd blaze away at the A-zone; that's small enough for me.
Nimitz
if you're group shooting its ok to put a 2" bullseye on the target ... for any other 25 yd drill you want the target to look just it will in a match .... naked ..... or man up and surround it with no-shoots .... Edited July 25, 2015 by Nimitz
a matt
No marking the target, treat it like a match or use a dot till you find where you want to hit then shoot like you are at the nationals and these shots mean win or last place.
