presciption shooting glasses

I wear prescription grasses. I try to buy wrap around grasses locally but they tell me that they cannot curve the lenses that much. Is there any place on line that can make glasses suitable for shooting but with my prescription?

RUDY PROJECT has a model that takes your prescription in the form of an insert. There are others too. Jim Scouten just did a show on this in his Sighting in with Shooting USA series.

I ordered some ESS glasses with prescription inserts. They are inexpensive and worth giving them a try.

If that does not work well I will spring the money for some Oakley's

I'm now using the Oakley with the presciption lenses.....read their site for a good explanation...but you get focus all around the lenses versus the regular just in the center focus lenses.....I shoot with the Bolle Vigilant before but the doulble lense was giving some out of focus area, and the prescription insert was also only in the center of the lenses.

Visit www.advancedperformanceshooting.com for Rudy Project glasses. There is also a thread in here somewhere that demonstrates how tough the Rudy's are. A shotgun test was invloved.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am not trusting my eyes to $13.00 glasses. Espically if a prescription is needed.

Dansy, thanks for that information. I will check out their site. I hear nothing but great reviews for Oakley glasses. If they can produce a wrap around lens with clear vision it may be worth the extra cost.

I have looked at the Rudy Project glasses. I think they are to big. I need to look good while I am screwing up a stage .
