bmiller
So I decided to give the Burris 1x a try. I was curious about the size of the optic relative to the other options out there. Snapped a pic of the ones I own for comparison. Top is an aim point t-1 on a larue mount, absolute co-witness. Middle is a Leupold pris on a Larue base. (Yes there is still clay on it from Tarheel) Bottom is the Burris. I must say I am impressed with the glass clarity. I have not had an opportunity to sight it in yet. Cabelas is selling it for $279 with discounted shipping and $50 Cabela's bucks. It even arrived a day early!
bmiller
I zeroed at 50, was pressed for time so I shot it at 300 and 400. The hash marks work like a charm. I can see this scope being much faster on the long stuff than my other options. Going to set up some targets tonight at 100 to 250 and see how I adjust to the big dot. Need to cut a little brush and will be able to take it to 550? Edited May 13, 2015 by bmiller
michael1778
Sounds like a winner. Thanks for the comparison image and your update.
bmiller
Whacking skinny sammies at 150 is not a problem with this scope. Edited May 14, 2015 by bmiller
