Willz
I've been shooting Blue Bullet 125 gr rn over 3.8gr of Titegroup in my M&P 5inch 9. I recently chrono'd them and was getting 131PF. At the Blue Bullets SC championship the same load chrono'd at 134 PF. Different weather, different chrono. My test loads using Hornady HAP 125gr only gave me 121PF from the same pistol, same load. For 3gun I'm testing 3.2gr of Titegroup with 125gr Bayou Bullets. Seems to shoot notably softer but I haven't had a chance to chrono them yet. d_striker
2.8 of Clays with a lead 147 at 1.14 is hilariously light. It doesn't make PF but the recoil is nice. What was your PF with this load? After my e3 runs out in about 6k rounds, I'm was going to switch to Clay Dot. From all the threads online, I extrapolated that 2.9-3.0gr should make minor with a 147 Xtreme. Ferg34
What is everyone using for recoil springs on their light 147 loads? I just bought non captured guide rod for my m&p. Bought a 13lb and an 11lb. Spring. Figured the 13 may be good for my 124 and the 11 for 147. I haven't had a chance to get to the range with them. Anyone have thoughts? vixty
I use an 11lb spring with 147s out of my shadow. I tried a 10 firat but it felt like the slide was slamming the stop.

Ferg34
Thermo, I run an m&p pro and use the 13 with my 124 loads and the 11 with my 147 loads. Recoil is much better with both than the stock and I've had no issues with my cci primered hand loads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob Tompkins
If you want really soft, use the X-Treme 165gn 9mm bullets. Really quite soft with most any powder. I like a med speed powder to keep peak pressure down.

hangin
My SP-01 will also load out to 1.18 with the Xtreme 147 and 165. But beware that at this length you run a chance of accidentally activating the slide stop, locking the slide to the rear. Ask me how I know . This is the reason that many people will ream the barrel and reshape the slide lock to accept long loaded ammo. Willz
Is anyone using Power Pistol? If so what loads. I was talking to a Pro shooter last weekend and he suggested I try Power Pistol. (If I can ever find it. )
hangin
I used to use power pistol but it was loud, flashy, and dirty. Also the recoil was terrible (compared to clays, claydot, and even tite group). When used at the lower end of the powder charge I used to get unburned powder flakes on my hands and forearms. But this was years ago so maybe something changed. Edited June 14, 2015 by hangin
