Spare parts - what do we really need?

I'm about to order small factory parts from EAA and plan on:

1) Roller pins for trigger bar, hammer strut and interrupter.

2) Slide stop, pin spring and pin

3) Mag catch spring catch and spring

4) Extractor, pin and spring

What about sear and sear housing? I already have spares from Wolff and Xtreme. Just working on small parts.

Is it worth it getting the henning steel pins instead of the roll pins?

Not sure about the sear housing, but I got extra one-piece sears from xtreme just in case I change hammers, since you'll need to fit the sear to the hammer.

I don't think so. Production rules are inclusive rather than exclusive so if you don't see it in the book, you can't do it.

so I'm planning to get one and i don't know how it works? so you just put that in and just leave a hole on the slide stop does it work that way?? and not using a slide lock at all while your using this pin?

thanks kneelingatlas, i need this cause it sometimes lock the slide the way i grip the gun while firing. it doesn't say that its not legal in production thou

I don't think so. Production rules are inclusive rather than exclusive so if you don't see it in the book, you can't do it.

What you could do is grind the nub off the inside of the slide stop so it can't catch the slide. That mod may or may not be legal (you can read Appendix D4 and decide for yourself), but I don't think anyone would bother you over it.

jom- Or you could re-train yourself in how you grip the pistol. It's cheap and no one could complain about modification in production class. And the extra dry-fire and range time might be a good thing. Tell your wife that it's either that or you'll have to buy a new pistol that fits your hands better.
