jobob
I wish manufacturers could make a recoil pad that was slick on the outside edges to it doesn't catch on your shirt when shouldering the gun, but tacky enough on back so not to slip on your shoulder. I've been wrapping the pad with electrical tape. That's ok, until it gets hot! I tried using cheap fingernail polish for a time, and it seemed to work, until it caused the pad to soften and nearly disintegrate! Does anyone have a better solution? newboy
ArmorAll is slick, and doesn't have the acetone that your fingernail polish does.
larry weeks
Pachmayr used to (might still) make a spray to slick up the pad. Their SC (?) series pads have a hard insert on the toe to prevent the pad from grabbing as you bring the gun to your shoulder. Hadn't thought of the Armorall trick, ought to do the job.
