Garmil
I have the rcbs included powder measure on my pro 2000. It works well but with one weird issue. If I start loading and the press has sat for an hour or a day the first drop or two is always a few te the higher. Example I'm set up for 4.1 grains of 700-x the first charge is normally 4.3 followed by a 4.2 or 4.3 with the subsequent charges right down to 4.1. After that it's very accurate I throw 10 charges and check for accuracy getting 40.7 to 41.2 consistently. Anyone else had this issue?
noylj
Sounds like no more than additional powder settling over time. Do you give the measure a little shake to initially settle the powder? I would think that any one operating a powder measure that has sat idle for a time should throw a couple of throw-away charges just to be things are back to normal. jarvis243
I have seen that on my pro 2000 but not every time. I always zero out my scale and measure at least the first 5 or so before I start loading. I have been very pleased with how accurate it is after that.
Garmil
Thanks I won't worry about it and just throw out the first few charges.
