Paul-the new guy
What are the most popular rear sights? I see people talking about XS but the ones I see on shotguns have a notch and I don't see any XS sights that have a notch
Dan Sierpina
They were modified. How many people do you know that really use stuff straight out of the box?

Colodrew
Paul, The XS rear sights work perfect. No need to modify it if you don't want to. I run a Hi-vis tri comp front sight. They come in three different heights to make zeroing a breeze. It took all the pain of long range slug shots away!
roxymajor
A lot of the pros are using pistol type rear sights milled into the front of the rib....Or adjustable in-rib....
Wild Gene
I like that idea. ^^^^^^^^ It would be less obtrusive than a big thing sticking up in back, and only come into play when you are actually taking the time to aim a shot vs point.
RH39
The xs sights I've seen seem to work well but I'm not sure what model they were. Does anyone know the specific xs sight being used?
The Donald
I use the XS SG 3001-1 shotgun set, for the rear site. There are three rear sites in the kit. I had Aaron Hayes mill the dovetail. The first rear site installed was the middle height site, was shooting slightly high so swapped to the shortest site. I use the Hi-Viz front site with the green/yellow fiber optic. At 50 yards I can easily hit a 6" steel with a slug and a C zone at 100 yards without having to remember any offsets.
Paul-the new guy
Ordered the SG-3001-1 should be here in a day or 2. Now I need to find someone to cut a dovetail and put it on for me.
