Keola5o4
Everything was going smooth until this happened, what gives?
mike cyrwus
Oh man; looks like Phoenix trinity forgot to leave the GI frame tangs. Looks like they lopped them right off and did some kind of weird 1/4" radius.
feederic
There are different frame tang profiles. The PT/STI/2011 pattern uses a .250 radius high cut grip safetey. STI, Ed Brown, EGW, or Chip McCormick are excellent (and almost comprehensive) choices for what you need.
MikeRush
I have fit the EGW to a Phoenix Trinity frame and it is beautiful. +1 on what feederic said. Wrong safety for the job.
Keola5o4
Thanks guys for clearing that up, im kind of disappointed that i cant use the wilson grip, been using there parts on most my 1911 builds, but hey!, its gives me a chance to try some new product lines. Quack
That also looks like a drop-in safety (for a GI) from Wilson.
gng4life
Same thing happened to me, the Wilson and I believe the Brown drop-ins were the issue. I put that on another pistol and got an EGW and it looks and works great!
Keola5o4
Yeah just i just read the package, its a drop-in, it will go in the hard time box
