OP, in all honesty, I doubt it will add more than .5 ounces. The current SS guide rods look like a huge nail instead of a regular 1 piece guide rod. My SP01 shadow with springer base pads, lemon graters, several pieces of heavy grip tape was 1 ounce short. His guide rod was 0.7 oz heavier than my steel guide rod, should be 0.3 short of max now.
