ktm400
I shot 2-300 rounds last night then notice the muzzle cap had apparently been shot off. The bolt that holds the cap in place is still there but sheared off the head. I will be ordering new one from Smith today. I suppose I will be using some lock-tite to solve this? MWP
Drill it out to .400+. I've yet to see a Vcomp or 929 that doesn't make contact with the end cap.
Tom Freeman
Mine is in a junk drawer. Didn't see the need for it. One more thing to lose.
revoman
Shot my V-Comp with the comp cap and the blank cap and never had a problem. Mine is one of the first run of V-Comp's when they came out in the 90's.
pskys2
Need to Loc Tite them also, they will loosen up. The first thing you'll notice is your accuracy goes to h!@#. Ask Cliff.

Gregg K
I have never had my cap even start to come loose but I tighten it like I do my strain screw. Gorilla with a wrench.
