Heavy / Thick Plated & Accuracy

Are plated bullets with a thick / heavy plate more accurate than their standard counterpart at minor power factor?

(Xtreme HPCB, Berry's HBRN-TP etc.)

I have found that the diameter (.355 vs. .356) is what determines accuracy more than plating thickness.

I use the thick plated mainly because I shoot 9 major. Accuracy with the standard plated was fine with minor power loads. I just buy the thick plated ones now because the difference in price is negligible at the moment.. (that way I don't get confused with which bullets I'm using :surprise: ) I'm easily confused, that's why I shoot open, don't have to think about equipment rules (or reloading) :roflol:

I buy plated bullets for practice and small local matches. I don't have any problems with accuracy. I usually use Xtreme .357 diameter. But have been looking into the thick plated bullets from RMR bullets because they are usually cheaper.
