jrmock Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I have been playing with building my own scope mount for my AR and one parameter I have struggled with is what the 'standard' diameter is for a 30mm scope tube. The one I own is slightly bigger than 30mm but that is not much data to know what the true tolerance range is. Anybody in the know on tube diameter tolerance? I am also interested in 1" tubes? Steve RA Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 That is why many times when you install the upper rings of the mount there is a gap when you have tightened them sufficiently.
