Iowashooter
I am entertaining the idea of running open on occasion at some local matches. I would be running a 16 round tube and want to know what the solution for the magazine spring is.
michael1778
I don't mean to drift the thread, but that is a looooong tube. I ran my 26" VersaMax with at least a 13 round tube (maybe it was 14?) and that seemed precarious in some dump barrels. I would hate for you to get a DQ because of a very imbalanced shotgun when you ground it. On your question, I'm afraid I don't have any first hand information on extra long springs. As an alternative, I like the CarbonArms versatube. Get it maxed out and it's rock solid. Edited April 12, 2015 by michael1778
Iowashooter
Jerry miculek runs a 17 round tube on his 930 and he dumps his more aggressively than I ever will. I will practice with it first just need to know whether I can get a spring cut long enough or if I need put a follower in between 2 springs.
