jstagn
Has anyone tried a 'regular' 12lb recoil spring AND a Wolf 12lb variable? Would appreciate your input. Gun is an .40 SV 5.4 sight tracker.
Nightrod
I have been using 13 or 14lbs variable. my 2cents, 12 variable will be too light to stop the recoil and preventing your frame to be beaten so bad.
Aric
I run a 10lbs spring in a 5" sight tracker with no signs of wear after thousands of rounds.
Steve RA
I've always used the variables since they came out and I like them (obviously).
Sarge
I've always used the variables since they came out and I like them (obviously). Indeed. Matt Cheely recommends and uses them in his Open guns. That's all I need to know!
jcc7x7
Variables allow the gun to unlock (open) easier and close (lock back up) so they are supposed to be softer shooting. I like them in the open and limited AKAI sight tracker The Akai I use lighter than I do in my bushing guns The open I use 8 lbs springs and change them alot. When the dot starts bouncing I put a new spring in The Akai gets one every 1200-1500 rounds Remember they are only 6 bucks when you buy them more than 3 at a time
