That was the first match where I managed to get 20 into a couple of mags.

I've talked with Robin Taylor about this and he says that there are so many different combination of guns, mags, followers, etc that it's almost impossible to predict. It all comes down to a matter of fractions of an inch. With some combination's, you have to use a hammer to get 20 rounds in; with others, the 20th round will go in but won't seat without a hammer; with a few, the 20th will go in and it will barely seat, but the action will bind when you cycle it (that's mine); and with a few, it works.

I've given up trying at this point. If I cannot consistently be sure that it will work, then I'm not even going to try. If and when one extra round becomes that much of an issue to me, then it's probably time I got a different gun.

I've got Dawson's on mine, and they work just fine.

I definitely have problems getting a full 20 rnds in them though. They will take 20, but the slide will bind.

Still, my Glock 22 with 19+1 rnds is about the same as my friends with their STI's. They only manage to get 19 in their STI's.
