400driver
My Ambi wide safety is here and I'm am getting ready to fit it. This is being put in an SVI sight tracker. I have removed the previous safety with great difficulty and subsequently filed down the Tang and groove so that the safety comes apart easier. The new safety cannot even be put together using finger pressure without me working on the connecting parts. I am looking for advice on how much force is ideal to separate the sides of the safety from each other, should it be gentle pressure or firm enough to require a flat blade under the left safety side to remove it? Any pointers appreciated. Thanks
gng4life
It should just be hand pressure but it should be firm. Too loose and it could work its way out. I have never needed a screwdriver for a properly fitted safety. BTW, I have two of the extra wide SVI safeties, they are great!
