PKT1106
Assuming handgun malfunction, correct? 5.7.4 In the event that a handgun malfunction cannot be corrected by the competitor within 2 minutes, he must point the handgun safely downrange and advise the Range Officer, who will terminate the course of fire (excluding any unattempted component strings in a Standard Exercise) in the normal manner. The course of fire (excluding any unattempted component strings in a Standard Exercise) will be scored as shot including all applicable misses and penalties. gng4life
Why did they stop, gun malfunction? just quit? 5.7.4 covers a malfunction and the stage is scored as shot. 5.7.7.1 covers squibs and scored as shot if the squip is found. 9.10.3 covers that if a shooter reacts to the start signal but does not fire, the stage is scored as a zero. Sarge
Well that was easy. I thought we were going to have another lengthy rules "discussion".

Gary Stevens
Which rule covers a sudden stop caused by alien abduction of the shooter? And can an abducted shooter still claim a prize Only if his representative has written permission to accept such prize witnessed and attested to by three reputable aliens. High Lord Gomer
If the aliens return them at a time prior to the abduction can the shooter reshoot the stages they haven't really shot yet?

ChuckS
Actually, the real crisis is if the shooter gets abducted during the COF. With that recent video in mind, no RO is going to call "Range is Clear" unless they can absolutely see the ULASC. No ULASC, no RIC. No RIC, no end of the COF. No end of COF, no end of match, no protest period, no prize table. Friggin' aliens... Actually, with the time travel factor considered, the ULASC may have already happened, just not yet... frag316
since when do aliens have the ability to time travel? Eventually, they will have the ability You apparently missed the grammar section in the Hitchhiker's Guide series. The correct phrasing is "Eventually, they will have gained the ability." Graham Smith
I’ve noticed a tendency for this thread to get rather silly. If that silliness does not stop immediately, I will be forced to complain to the management forthwith.
