quimico2
Hi all, Glock G22 G4, no mods - all original parts. After the first 300 rounds, during the cleaning process, i found this marks on the safety plunger : Never see this before in a brand new glock ... Any advise ? Could be a damage from dry firing pratice ? Thanks in advance, Q2
darkvibe
Firing pin probably hits it at the end of travel. You have a mark here on your striker?

9x45
That doesn't look right at all. I been running Glocks since 1992, and have never seen anything like that, even with mine that have over 100K on them. Is this a Gen 4 thing?

Pat Miles
The timing between the plunger and the firing pin is incorrect. The plunger is being pushed up too far. I had the same problem with a few series 80 Colts years ago. Sorry, don't know how to fix the problem in a Glock. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out. darkvibe
The timing between the plunger and the firing pin is incorrect. The plunger is being pushed up too far. This. Except I think the striker releases before the plunger is pushed up far enough so that the striker hits the plunger as it passes. It usually happens when people mess with the geometry of the firing pin safety cam that stick up on the top of the trigger bar.
quimico2
i put all new parts : plunger + spring, firepin+spring+cups and tested with 10 dry fires ,,,,,, no scratch ! I will keep as is and follow-up every 100 rounds. Thanks !! Q2
darkvibe
The trigger bar is the most likely culprit.
