Open1215
I think that's a GREAT idea! I wish that tanfoglio would go with that. Then again I'm sure there is some liability. You can't just use a cordless drill and go for it... lol
Gooldylocks
Pssshh that's what they invented dremels for. But seriously that is probably why we don't see that from more companies.
Open1215
Lmfao! Right? Dremel, Mill, same diff right?
Gooldylocks
Well come on they make that router table attachment thing that you can use kinda like a wannabe drill press, surely that will do it
Open1215
:-D I've seen it happen... AR barrel with "ribbing" cut in from a dremel.
Open1215
They work well for polishing stuff. They are good tool to have... still. More harm then good at times.
Gooldylocks
I find all kinds of uses for mine, but I (and hopefully every sane person) would be sending that thing to the gunsmith if I was drilling holes in the barrel.
Open1215
Exactly. Great tool. Very handy. Not for drilling barrel ports...
Kingman
Discussion was had with the owner of SPS at SHOT about bringing the vista long in specifically. I explained the benefits of the longer comp to them for US shooters needing 168pF for safety. He listened intently and wants to do well in the US. I think we will see the longer guns on the next shipment. Beings that I do own a regular 40 pantera, I am very happy with fit, finish, and trigger. bigbob21
Good to hear kingman... Haven't seen much about their pantera until I saw pat Kelly post a video on YouTube the other day... He said he liked it for the most part and the price is probably 500$ less than an Sti equivalent.... I'm def. interested in the pantera first... Maybe later in an open gun. Gooldylocks
I'm definitely interested to see if they bring in some of the other styles. The Star would be cool, but it would likely be close to 3000 so that is much less appealing than the standard guns. But we shall find out soon. Kingman
The major hold up is the cost to bring a gun over. Licenses and samples are huge expenditures to get a new gun to meet ATF and State Dept approval. With that said I was told the 9mm long was already approved. Pantera are in the states in 9mm, .40(I have one here) and .
