echotango
Can a slide be too light to function reliably? Edited March 24, 2015 by echotango
bigcalidave
Which platform? Light is good, and you can make almost anything work with different springs.

bigcalidave
I don't know what to say about that one. I was concerned when I chopped half the back of my glock slide off, but it is nowhere near that much lol.

gng4life
That brings new meaning to "fat free" As long as the lighter springs will work and the dwell timing is correct, it should work. I bet you could load up some super minor 9, similar to my SC loads, and run it there. What is the weight? The lightest slide I have is just under 9 ozs. superslowmo
That makes me think of the old pics Ruger did for the military pistol selection comps done way back, where they cut away a piece of the massive P-series slide to show how durable it was/what it could withstand. Sure wish I could find the pics!
