P09 - decocker or safety

I am curious how many P09 shooters are using their pistol with the decocker versus the safety. I have never been a skilled traditional double action shooter and have been shooting Glocks-M&Ps for years. Got my new CGW P09 and loving the single action but really having to focus on that first TDA shot.

It depends on what you are shooting.

If I was shooting the P09 in USPSA Production division I would go with the decocker since using the decocker you can leave the hammer on the half-cock notch instead of having to manually lower it all the way. That will reduce the pull length and weight of the first double action shot.

You can get a lot of work done on a P-09 to reduce the double action pull.

I have a CZ85B that came with a 12# DA trigger. Some polishing, some springs, a different hammer and firing pin and voila, 7.5#. It's about the same trigger as my Shadow. I believe you can do the same thing with a P-09.
