Malarkey Posted March 14, 2015 Share Posted March 14, 2015 So i ordered a blade-tech DOH holster for my sp-01. It came in today and the very first thing that happened shocked me. I put the gun into the holster, and the magazine released. I clicked it back in. Tried a draw, on the draw....the magazine released. So I am standing there think wt%$ is going on. I took it off my belt and further examined it, only to find that the inner kydex wall hangs over the mag release just enough to put pressure on it. Very disappointing. Its getting shipped back to amazon in the morning to say the least. Now i love blade tech products. I have been running their revolution style holster in IDPA with my G34 but this seems uncharacteristic. So i am back in the market for a production holster for my SP-01, does anyone have any good recommendations? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most folks around here with CZ SP01/SP01 Shadow/Accu-Shadow are running that blade tech holster, often with the BOSS holster hanger. Both my holsters and a wide variety of CZ's in there that hasn't happened to me, or I believe to anyone I've shot with. If you can hang on to it for a day or two, perhaps you should take to your next match (Sunday?) and compare to someone else's blade-tech to see if your's is somehow bent funny compared to another persons/ If their gun mag ejects in your holster, or if your gun mag ejects in theirs, then at least you'll better know where the problem is, my thought anyway. coordinator Posted March 14, 2015 Share Posted March 14, 2015 Malarkey, You can use a heat gun or hair dryer and heat up the spot, and expand the portion, that's depressing the mag release button. I've got the Ghost, DAA and Blade Tech, none of the holsters touch the mag release. Ben does not have them in stock, as of 3/4/15, but they are on order. Yeah i saw that. I am going to exchange it for a different one and give it another chance. If the next one is the same i will just trim it or something. johnsons1480 Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 I ordred my SP-01 holster from Amazon. It felt like a big bucket that my gun could wiggle in instead of a fitted holster. Used it until it broke down the side. Blade Tech replaced it for me, and when I got the holster from them, I knew that I had never had the correct holster for my gun. Finally got to use this creme brulee blow torch (another useless wedding gift registry item) to heat the kydex and adapt it to the extra muzzle treatment: The holster did have the proper relief cut for the mag release - ordered it direct from Blade-Tech Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The bushing on the 'regular' accushadow fits ok, its your extended Aussie barrel that is causing the issue.
