cactusbrew
I was thinking the exact same thing. I like it a lot OP. Different strokes for different folks and all that...
eric nielsen
My wife restores vintage furniture with a technique a lot like you're describing. Never once did I think of doing that with a gun. It looks very very good.
crni4
Love it! That way when that first scratch happens, its nbd. Looks cool.
bluesman2a
While I wasn't an immediate fan of the finish I find it growing on me, and the machine work is awesome.
Flash74
I dont agree with the crowd. You earn a patina like that on a gun. You don't manufacture it. This is like the tactical timmies who drag their AR's down the driveway for the "been there, done that" look. Next time, earn it, but its your gun, do what you want. wmetzler01
I just finished up this 6" build, which was a collaboration of sorts between myself and a couple different custom builders in our area. I built it for use in 3Gun, where it will take a lot of abuse. As such, I decided to give it a unique finish to match the abuse it will take. I am interested to hear what you guys think. I am certain to get opinions on all sides of the isle here, but I really like the way it turned out. Looks like there may be some demand for finish variation like this; if you start to offer these services let us know. Thanks, Will
steviesterno
I like it. a goal of mine is to eventually get a new les Baer that's blued and shoot it until it develops that same style and patina.
