gigsaw
I know dry firing is a no no on .22 but can u slide the bolt back and ease the hammer down without damaging the pin ? And if this is done ..does the firing pin protrude resting on the breech face ? Thanks
Postal Bob
Yes, you can ease the the hammer down on the bolt, I do it all the time. Just hold the bolt back almost all the way back, and pull the trigger. Then slowly close the bolt. The hammer will fall, with only minimal force, and then follow the bolt closed. And the firing pin is inertia driven, so it won't stay protruding from the breech face. Edited February 23, 2015 by Postal Bob
