mattx
Is the length of the beep generally consistent for all shot timers? Do they all begin counting at the start of the beep? Does USPSA have an official list of allowed timers?
BoyGlock
Generally consistent by brand and model. Afaik all except one brand count time at the start of the beep. Iirc R U Ready brand starts count at the end. Pls. verify this as my memory sometimes tricks me ? Don't know about USPSA but IPSC dont have a list. mlmiller1
All i know bout start at beginning of beep. Duration of most beeps is 3/10 of second. Any par time stage has .3 buffer. If par is 6 seconds & you fire a shot at 6.30 youre ok but 6.31 is overtime. Make sense?
mattx
Everything makes sense. I was mainly interested in figuring out how consistent the timers are and if there is an "industry standard" so to speak. I take away that there is a bit of an ad-hoc standard, but nothing formalized.
