b1gcountry
I picked up a Lyman case guage in 40, and the inside is rough, the neck is narrow, and the brass is tight. Are they known for making tight gages? Edited February 18, 2015 by b1gcountry
Sarge
Google turned up a few topics on it but nothing definitive. What dies are you using? If you are not using a LEE sizer try one. If you are using a LEE sizer try and undersized LEE or EGW. You may be fighting bulged .40 brass and if you are using Dillon dies you will never size low enough to get rid of it. But before all of that, is your sizer die literally kissing the shell plate? If it's not, remove the deprime rod, turn it down further and run the rounds back through it and see if they will gauge. b1gcountry
I have Lee dies. They are adjusted as low as i dare to. The cases have never caused me trouble. 100% pass rate in my lwd g23 barrel. Just wanted to start using the lyman instead. I keep meaning to run some wwb into it and see what's up.
