emjei
There is a billion Shooting Videos in YouTube BUT.... have you noticed that 99.9% of them dont show the actual scoring of the targets ?? I can hose a stage and look good for the video but I can also have a bunch of Mikes ...lol I like to see how the Grauffels, Racazza, Stoegers and John Does gets their Alphas while shooting at the speed of light. ......agree ??? JakeMartens
it is not about the score but looking badass and fast hell ever notice all the tactical timmie training videos never show their hits, or even that the target is 5 feet away there is a reason for this

Chills1994
Call me jaded...or immune, but I have been posting my own hat cam videos since before YouTube "became a thing". Somebody has to really put up a good, blazing video WITHOUT any music dubbed in if they want to hold my attention for more than 5 seconds. If they were to show the actual scoring taking place, *CLICK* I am moving onto another video. I can tell just from the cadence of the splits if they are A class and above. Lastly, chances are good that I can piece together who they are in real life from the video and which match they were shooting at. If I am that interested in their scores, then I will just open up another internet window and look up their scores for that particular match on USPSA.org . Chills1994
That is one of the advantages with steel. You can hear the hits even if the camera isn't directly focused on the target.
Sarge
Yeah, I gotta admit, watching a video of scoring targets would be pretty boring.
trp
How could seeing the hits help you learn anyways? I just like watching the bigger matches and the ones I didn't get to shoot
Nimitz
i've shot with at least one of those you mentioned and i can tell you he's just as 'blazing fast' in person and he shoots alphas .... that's why i like Steel Challenge videos .... there's never a doubt about a shooter's score regardless of how fast they are ... BritinUSA
Some of the stage videos on my website have the Hit-Factor showing in the link so you can get some idea of what the hits were, check the videos from the 2014 USPSA Nationals
DrawandDuck
alot of the matches score as you are shooting and by the time your finished the scoring is almost completed too. When I used to video my runs I would reivew as a traing tool....I had the match results to reivew my hits.

amish_rabbi
I always post my percentage on a stage and a quick personal note about the stage/my performance. Thats about all I have patience to read so I wouldnt assume anyone else wants to read more.
BeerBaron
I agree. it's annoy. I can blaze a stage too full of mikes and NS and look like eric graufel. I was so happy when I came across some vids by dalmas4 (youtube name). He has a great vid called "this is IPSC" which is great to show new people who have no inkling about the sport. but even better in some of his match vids he adds the scores in as he shoots the targets. Very cool. check them out. they are worth the look:
TonytheTiger
^ The ideal and non-boring way to integrate scoring into a video. I'd like to see more of that.
MarkCO
Sometimes, it is fun to go find their scores. This is one of my kid's runs Saturday. I put the match percent and hits in the description box, but you have to go to Youtube to see that. : Edited February 16, 2015 by MarkCO
dansedgli
I would add scores but it is too much effort. I mentioned the mikes I had in one I did yesterday though. I'd rather watch blazing fast videos over my own though.
hunt_fish
That's why the Pro-Am format is awesome for spectators/video. Instant scoring and you can even tell who's winning after each stage without a scoring program... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Corey
For me personally, and I've been slacking the last year or so, I got into videoing my matches as training tools more than posting to show off. I want to be able to watch it 3rd person and see how I actually moved, lost time, etc. I know my scores from that match and i usually know which targets I screwed up on if I did. Now, can i go back 3 years and say that, of course not and itd be nice to have a notation of somekind as to the score of that stage. Part of it is I just dont want to take the time to edit that much into it, lol. Maybe Ill try a bit harder this year....
