mele
I've done a search and can't seem to find a answer to my paticular question. I would like to setup one toolhead just for 223 and/or 308 brass prep. I would like to decap/size, trim and swag for any crimped primer pockets. Anyone got a setup like this? Thanks, Mel
Sarge
I don't but I know from others that swaging will have to be done separately as the 650 isn't set up for it. There are some aftermarket swaging kits I believe that can be attached? I believe they have mixed reviews. I believe most who do large quantities of swaging either get a 1050 or use the dillon super swage tool
mele
Thanks, thats what I was thinking. I'll probably just keep on reaming it out like I do now. I use a VLD deburring tool and just touch the case and it works great. I was just trying to streamline the process some what. Mel
Sarge
Same for me. I load 9mm and get some crimped brass accumulated over time. I just chuck up a primer pocket reamer in a drill and knock them out. Makes good busy work in the dead of winter
Flyboyak
In a dedicated tool head install sizing die for which you'll have to clean the brass first, I use a lee universal depriming die, and inplace of the primer seating install a GS CUSTOM swagger. In this setup you don't have to clean the brass first
