I tried the peltor shot gunners for a while just because they were cheap and hated how bad my ears hurt from being smashed after a range session, so I "splurged" and bought Howard Leigh Impact Sport electronic muffs and I love them. Nice and big with lots of cushion. Up to x3 sound magnification with Aux input port, so you can listen to death metal from your iPod while you slay targets.
