bountyhunter
I swear, for the last month my bathroom has had a steady daily crowd of ants coming in through the window. Despite the fact we are having overnight lows in the 20's. In all the other 30+ years I have lived here, the ants go dormant during the winter and you never see them. These suckers just won't die. I have the bait traps out but they seem to have evolved to where they find the poison delicious. Kind of ridiculous, I guess it's evolution in action. I'm freezing but the ants have adapted to the new climate. Edited January 5, 2015 by bountyhunter
Hi-Power Jack
I've had great luck with Ant & Roach spray by Raid. I sprayed around the doors and windows about six weeks ago, and so far I've found only two dead or almost dead insects in the house.
TN3gun
I used to have a problem with ants too. I started using a product called Termidor once a year and hardly ever see any bugs anymore, ants included. I spray it around the exterior perimeter of my house 1 foot up the wall and 1 foot on the dirt. It nukes the creepy crawlies. I friend of mine told me about it and said it's the same stuff some of the pro companies use, but I never verified that. I ordered it from Amazon. It's pricey but lasts forever because a little goes a long way
Graham Smith
I fear that this cannot help but turn into a discussion. . . . That said - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceous_earth#Pest_control

Youngeyes
As the Pink Panther said when he stepped on an ant, " Dead ant, dead ant....Dead Ant... dead ant, dead ant, dead ant.....".....
