I am building a F-TR rifle with the Bell & Carlson tactical fully adjustable stock, I have a Stiller Pedator P1000 action, Krieger havey Palama cut to 29 inches, Nightforce 2014 Comp scope and rings, Evo bipod total weight is 16.75 Lbs. I had to make a few cuts to get the action too fit and I had to make a larger hole in front of aluminum block for the recoil lug to fit the P1000 is about 1/4 inch longer than the REM 700 short. just rebedded it I will be breaking in the barrel next weekend.

F/TR is a division of F-Class which is part of High Power shooting. I think the F/TR stands for F-Class/Tactical Rifle. Could be wrong.

I'll be starting F/TR this year as well. I've shot a couple matches borrowing gear in the past and really liked it.

I just traded for an HHE Millenium Palma gun that I'm going to convert for F-Class. Need a small piece added to the stock to ride a rear bag, add a scope, and I'll be good to go! Its got a bit slower twist rate than I originally wanted in a rifle so I'll have to shoot a little lighter bullet, but I don't care. At least I'll get good wind reading practice :) This summer will be a learning experience for sure

F-Class/Target Rifle.

Don't discount the 155gr bullets, especially for midrange. The 155.5 Bergers won me a ton of 600 yard matches, and 3 state matches. If shooting 1000 yards, try to find a load above 3000fps and that will help.

That works too :)

And yes, shooters have been winning with the lighter stuff for years before and since the evolution of the heavier Hyrbids and target bullets. I will likely be shooting the 155.5 this year and we'll see how things go.

Very nice. The gunsmith is about to start work on mine. Remington action, McMillian A3 with adjustable cheek rest and adjustable length of pull, Krieger 26" 1 in 11 twist and Night Force scope. I'm looking forward to the learning experience. Enjoy.

I shot 155gr Sierra Palma bullets for about a year out to 1100yd with extremely good results - surprised a couple people who swore by 175's. The one thing I didn't care for is that I had to use a somewhat faster powder with my 20" barrel and that produced a rather sharp recoil.

I've since gone to Hornady 178gr HPBT and a bit slower powder and get better ballistics with a less sharp recoil which is easier on the shoulder at the end of a long day.

Things went well last weekend I wanted to shoot in the 170's and I shoot 173 in the first string, the second string I just missed with 169 with a 0 for shooting the wrong target and the last string the wind came up and I shot a 159. The only problem was my bipod fell off twice all most got it fixed. This is range 117 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

My set up as of today is Krieger .308 5-R 1-10 twist Heavy Palma 29 inches, Stiller Predator P1000 action, Gunsmith Phoenix Customs Rifles, Bell & Carlson Fully Adjustable Medalist Tactical Remington 700 BDL Short Action Rifle Stock, Action beading by me P1000 about ¼ inch longer than a Rem 700 short Action, CG X-Treme Mod 22 2-stage Trigger, NightForce Comp 2014 Scope 15-55X52 w/FCR-1 reticle , Murphy Precision 25 MOA titanium scope base, NightForce\ Seekins Rings Not sure which one I will be using, Tactical Third Eye Evo bipod, Accuracy 1st Development Group scope level 30mm.

I know brad and Keith at Phoenix Custom Rifle as they have build customs for me. They do a great job.

How long did it take for them to complete your build?

Ithink they got my parts on a Tuesday I got it back the next Monday. I was very lucky My rifle got there at a time they were waiting for part for other builds. It does shoot.

There is a two day match on Sept 5th and 6th at Desoto. Bring what you have and shoot.

You should be able to shoot a 75-77gr Hornady or Sierra. at 500, those would be sufficient. An accurate 69 that holds good vertical is better than a shotgun 77 though.
