race1911
--Your quote for "out of the box" new of "anywhere from 6lb-10lb for DA is what I hear from various peoples range and review reports.......SA appears anywhere in the range of 2.5lb-almost 5lb depending on whose report you read --MANUFACTURERS specs say: DA 6.8 lb - 8.1 lb and SA 3.4 lb - 4.05 lb --almost everyone says they really like the trigger, although DA is quite long , SA is very smooth and crisp with small reset I bought an X-Calibur Match OC (Match has a full length dust cover and reduces the fairly low recoil by even more, the OC meaning it is the factory optic ready version with milled slide)....a friend in Eastern Europe has his DA down to 5.5 lb and SA at 2.0 lb, I've heard others with spring changes getting their SA well below 2.0 lb Edited February 17, 2020 by race1911
valerko
nope , didn't do damn thing to it other then change front sigh and recoil spring . But did shoot alomost 30k thru it

race1911
You will probably be able to get your Match way earlier than any OC (factory optic ready) model as the OC has never made it to the US yet.......although you apparently can get different barrels the normal factory barrel for the Match is the nicely fluted heavy ones, there is also a smooth (non-fluted) bull barrel available ........the optic ready comes with a more (what they call) "pencil thin", non-bull, non-fluted barrel to keep the cycling speed as quick as possible considering the extra weight of the optic (although losing some weight from no iron-sight + cover plate) Edited February 17, 2020 by race1911

valerko
trigger is not as nice , but i'm planing on shooting CO and until Match version of GP is here , this is best bang for the buck . Whatever GP's rotating barrel does to recoil , X5 legion is making up in weight . But once Match GP is here , I'll most likely be switching back unless I buy the Alien pistol

valerko
I'm sure that chunk of weight at the end of the pistol would help a lot . just can't wait to get one

race1911
Good luck guys, hope those Match versions (and the OC ones too) get to the US soon, maybe with more people with them the aftermarket accessories will become more available also Edited February 18, 2020 by race1911

Jeff O
Okay I ordered my Xcalibur on the 17th from Gun Pro Deals. While waiting I ordered a K22 Xtrim from Guns Midwest on Sun the 23rd. The Xtrim shipped before 11 am Monday and I got it today. Still nothing from Gun Pro Deals. I sent them an email and they said it would take 48 hours to respond. Guess where I won't be buying another gun. Anyway on the Xtrim, I cleaned it up and put it on the trigger gauge. The double action pull averaged 6-14 and the single averaged 1-14. This is without a round fired. Hope the Xcal is as good. Xcal has lighter trigger in SA and DA. I usually use Xcal frame and just swap slides . Have to useXtrim slide for IDPA because of Bull barrel rule . Another reason I wand match OC version
Jeff O
My Excal was out for delivery today but my FFL dealer decided not to show up on Saturday.
Jeff O
OK, took 50% off the hammer spring cap and one coil off the spring, took the Xcal to the range and put 200 rds thru it. Accuracy, reliability and chrono testing. After about 50 to shake it down a little put it on a rest. 15 yds sub 1" group, 25 yds 2" groups. Had one stovepipe in the first 50, no other issues, lit every primer (Winchesters). The load for my CZ S2 is an Acme 145 gr molycoated round nose over 3.0 gr TiteGroup at 1.125 OAL, made 136.3 PF. My only issue is the front sight blade is too wide, or the rear notch is too narrow (for me). Ordered a .095 f/o from Dawson Precision (stock is .120 ish). Oh also DA is right at 6, SA just under 2. Think this gun could be a winner. Edited March 4, 2020 by Jeff O

kwelhand
Does anyone know who has the extended safety for sale? Global import? What type of finish they applied on the barrel? I have two X-cal, one with chrome looking barrel and one with black finish.
