harley45
out of a 5 inch gun with no porting has anybody done this? I have a reason for asking I'm thinking about switching to tightgroup and the pd I work for has a power factor for training rounds I have to use a jhp and it has to clock at least 800fps or better. Any specifics wil be welcome. Eric
AikiDale
Hodgdon lists 4.8 grains Titegroup with a 230 for 818 fps.

Doggorloader
I'm using Titegroup with pretty much all my loads now in 45 ACP I also started at 4.3 gr and worked over my chrono up to 5.2 gr. I stay with 4.8 gr Titegroup when using the 230 gr Hornady XTP (#45160) WLP primer Win cases 1.230 COL It averages right around 792 ft/sec but that's with my gun(5" barrel) and my chrono., and my scale, and my ....whatever. Mr. Sweeney has the right answer.
