Fund Racer Match July 4th & 5th, 2015 at Wayne County Raccoon Hunt

Recommended Posts

I have been asked for a Division and class breakdown of shooters and I will work on posting that sometime soon...............plaques came in from Manny Bragg so they will given away at the match right after the massive gun prize drawing( better than 1 in 10 odds of winning a new pistol).

We look forward to seeing you all out at the range!!!

I have myself and one other shooter that would really, really like to join the Canadian Contingent at Racoon Hunters this weekend. Tried to PM but Roy's box is full. If anyone has any direction to try and steal a spot please let me know.

Thanks

Dwayne

Grant-Naah............ALL the steel is pretty much at minimum distance 24-27 feet is common in order to fit all the running around into our bays...............

We got 4 and 1/2 stages set up last night...............and I wanted to shoot them right then and there............pretty freaking cool!!!!!!

Remember to practice opening doors-just a hint....

Swingers through ports...........MGM flip targets and backing up=all on one stage.....

Things are coming along..........................

OK..............Friday night.................dinner at Flight Club @ 7:30 for anyone interested. Big group going over there for food and adult beverages. Due to the holiday weekend, they will NOT have the casino open, so I saved some folks some $$ right there..........for you to give to some single mom's trying to get through school while raising kids.......Brian Williams from Phoenix Trinity had a birthday yesterday, so we are having a cake and his wife is bringing the candles so come celebrate with us. The place is over 20,000 sq. feet, 2 levels with all the sports and great food you can handle. Plus, I have heard that some ladies may (ok, yes they are...) showing up the next day to give away some t-shirts and passes to come back to the club sometime......Come and meet them and see how they work.............it's only 10 minutes from the range because that is proper planning. If you get there late, just tell the receptionist(s) that you are with the shooting group-they'll know where to send you. Since this is a bar that serves food and has a casino-CPL carriers are not allowed to have their little friends with them as an fyi.......proper dress is required-no flip flops/sandels and just don't look like a slob. Other than that they will be tolerant of us. The place is not inexpensive but the food is great. I luv the chef.....he is awesome and really takes care of my friends.

4 more stages put up last night..................1 more to finish today...........then its on to parking lots, dining halls, bathrooms and hanging banners........Yippee!!!!!!!!!

Friday morning is the cool day-prize distribution................Papa Joe-don't worry, your getting your shock buffs (again) this year!!!!

9 stages are up.....................prizes are in, banners are in the Jeep ready to go up today.......registration is done........accounting/bill paying should be finished today which means we are on schedule.............

Ok, now I am waiting on something huge to go wrong.......we can't possibly have things go smooth can we?

Registration/stage walking begins Friday at 1pm at the range in the building inside the berms-not the main clubhouse..........Just an fyi.........

Friday night come to dinner with our group at Flight Club to celebrate Phoenix Trinity's Brian Williams Birthday.....even ordered a cake last night for it.........

Now that all of the walls, steel, turners, swingers and such are in place. the stage diagrams just don't do them justice. Besides it would take me all night to redo them to reflect the teaks made by a certain someone who shall remain nameless. Though his initials are Roy Neal.

Oh and we used up a case of black pain putting hard cover on targets today.

FYI.... you will earn your points and some will earn their penalties :surprise:

Don't forget your front sights and put fresh batteries in your dots. :goof:

Please remember to be courteous when parking and do not block the aisle the caterer will be using.

Like Geoff said... Do not interfere with my lunch!

My hats off to the Staff and RO's for the match. To turn 9 stages and set up another 9....WOW!!

Great job.

The stages were very good, even in the tight bays the addition of the hardcover/no shoots really kept you on your toes.

(btw is there a hardware store in a 50 mile radius that still has black paint left?)

Glad I was able to make it....

Rumor has it that since Roy is a wiz at match organization and directing that he is planning on another one of these... :goof:

I also like to thank everyone who helped to run the match, as well as all sponsors and also to Roy for arranging the good weather. Great match! The WCRHC crew did an amazing job again and doubled match size. These matches are always the ones to look forward to even with 4 hours drive.

Roy, could you please get your stats guys email us at support@practiscore.com regarding Nook issue. I would like to understand the issue and if there is anything could be done in PractiScore to avoid it.

Eugene-contact Mr. Robot directly here...........Geoff can fill you in................

Jake Martens...................SHUT YOUR MOUTH MY FRIEND!!!!!!! I think if I mentioned doing another something like this to many of my club members, they would start selling squares on who gets to shoot me first..........W00F says that the line starts in back of him as he gets first shot..........

But thank you for the compliments.........they all go to my club members and crew. They "get' my ideas and make it happen. None of this would have happened without their incredible effort. I heard many folks talk about what changes we were going to make to the bays for Sunday, not understanding that there were going to be 9 entirely different stages being put up. Scott Hattrup did a great job as our RM and helped keep me out of trouble.

Another big Thank You goes out to each and every one of our sponsors..........without them, the guns and prizes are just not an option when you are running a match to raise $$ to raise our berm walls.

As for the black paint shortage the Nation will now be going through.........I can only say that I was cracking up listening to folks comment on how much of a hoser match this was going to be when they walked through the stages on Friday with just headless old targets hung up in the general area of where they were going to be for the match. Then watching the expressions on the faces of those same people on Saturday morning when they say the tight aimed shots due to hard cover and many no shoots. We had to do that as our bays are small and to get the movement into the stages.

Thank you to all the International shooters who made the trip and to those Americans that also made long journey's........we appreciated your attendance and all the kind words.
