ParaGunner
Heard a rumor that Para is being absorbed by Remington. Don't know if they will still make double stack 1911s under the Remington name or not. I really hope so, I'll miss Para. Anyone else hear anything on this topic? P.E. Kelley
It is my understanding that Para has been part of Remington for some time. And the double stack gun is not going away.

Rob Tompkins
Para is a company / brand under the Freedom Group: http://www.freedom-group.com/ I do believe they will be relocating to the new Remington plant in Huntsville AL as part of the Remington relocation and conslidation. thegeneric
There has been a big discount on all the Para's across all retail outlets with $100 MIR's. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Brassaholic13
Doubt it. They ran the same special in the 2nd quarter of this year.
cfd408
Not sure what's going on... but anything related to the P16-40, especially magazines, is pretty much non-existant
Brassaholic13
Thats probably because of the crappy mag laws like the NY Safe act. Most of the stuff I'm seeing on GunBroker is either 10 rounds, or labelled "pre-ban"
Yeti
Consolidation of manufacturing. Remington/Freedom Group is moving multiple lines to Alabama. Facilities in NY, MN, NC, WY are closing to reopen in AL. The rebates and pricing reflect a desire to sell off inventory prior to the move.
