Headworked
A friend had asked a few months ago for me to come up with a solution to the Vinci small safety issue... Been a busy summer with us having a new baby, but finally got a prototype cranked out and installed.. It's the first one off drawing board, and I already have some ideas on some changes I want to make, but it shows some promise. It is extended out the left side, and I will fab up a flag that extends past the receiver housing so it engages easily and rapidly without having to hunt for it... Headworked
Aristotle, give me a little more time... In a couple of weeks, I will have ironed out all the wrinkles, and also applied to be a vendor here on Enos... I will post some pics of the updated unit, along with contact info for those interested in one of these extended safeties. Thanks

Headworked
Here's the final product... It is going thru testing to check fit and should be good after that.
Headworked
The only thing left to iron out is which coating best suits this product... Currently it is a hardened toolsteel, so it will it will rust without a coating...
DoubleAlpha529
How about H&M Blacknitride?
waktasz
I wish it was bigger on the other side. Taking it off is never an issue. Turning it on before dumping the gun is where the goofy position of it hurts sometimes.
skatz11
This side is tapped for an oversize button. The idea is to make something easier to re-engage before dumping. I need to get the gun back over to Headworked so he can get some measurements and sketch up the other half.
waktasz
oh, in that case, perfect.
Headworked
Hopefully, over Christmas break, I will be able to finalize the left side engage button, and get it fabbed, and start trying it out... This process is long and slow, and I hope to be able to turn out a solid unit that works great, lasts forever, and looks good to boot..
skatz11
Here are some pics of the new safety installed. Feels great the offset design helps with both reach and leverage. I can't wait to try this out!
Aristotle
Hoping you have that button on both sides, it's more important for me to have to activate the safety when I'm dumping than to disengage it to shoot as even stock it's easy enough when at low ready or POA to disengage the safety. Headworked
Aristotle, I'm workin on the left side flag, and have a couple of ideas on what shape an size would make it work well... I plan to make a big button for left side
SteveA
Does this fit a Supernova also?
Headworked
Not sure, Steve...I currently do not have a S Nova to check dimensions... If you have a stock button, or want to send me yours, I'll check it against this new one and send yours back
EdwardBlake
I'm interested in safety as well. Serious lack of Vinci products on the market.
Headworked
EdwardBlake, I am in discussions with manufacturing group, and we are working out the final details on getting these to the market... Hopefully will have them available in Feb if all works to plan

After checking some exploded diagrams, the Supernova safety is a totally different beast. Its located in the same place as a Vinci but that's all they have in common.
