Philip Dedmon
What yardage are you zeroing you 12 ga. slugs at? In your opinion, what is the most common slug target yardage?
Bronco
Zero is 50 yds. most fall between 20 to 80 yds. once in awhile you'll see a 100 yd. Keith
Patrick Sweeney
I always zerod my slug guns for dead-on at 90 yards. That was the distance to the far plates at Second Chance, and it gave me a three inches high or so trajectory at 50 yards. I'd then simply hold center A all the way out. GENE S
I am using a Remington 1100, in 20 ga, and I have it sighted in at 50 yards and it works great with the red dot. Gene

warpspeed
I'm different I guess - 25 yds zero and then check impact @ 50 yds and then know the hold over.
George
45 yards (that's the depth of our IPSC bays otherwise it would also be 50). -- Regards,
slowsure
~20-30 yrds for most of the slug targets is what our club shoots. Dont forget left and right shoulder. It makes a little difference for me. I dont sight-in slugs (I shoot a vent rib shotgun) I fire them @ 50 yrds and find out POI then use hold over/under left/right. Then repeat @ 100 yrds to find POI. Its been said here many times but your choke can make a big difference in POI. I record this stuff and drag it out before a match for hold overs before a match if I dont have time to do some pre-match shooting.
benny hill
Patrick is right. I zero 3-4" high at 50 . I can hold center target from point blank out to 100 yds.
