bmiller
My search-fu is not working today. Has anyone weighed their PT or SV steel grip and mag well and compared that to the stock STI plastic grip and aluminum mag well? Thanks Edited October 10, 2014 by bmiller
Rob Tompkins
Seems like I've read the PT grip is ~9 oz so the net increase is ~6-7 oz. Edited October 10, 2014 by Rob Tompkins

anilson
the pt aggressive grip on my bench is 10.2 and a uncut sti plastic grip is 2.8oz so 7.5 to 8oz is the range Edited October 12, 2014 by anilson
Joe D
You can also add weight by using a 1911 steel main spring housing.
anilson
i run dawson steel 2011 main spring housing in all my 2011s for both weight and because the plastic ones will wear funny after some rounds. polish the steel ones for best results and use long main spring cap
blaster113
once you slap a steel grip on your 2011 you wont wanna go back to a plastic grip. the PT steel grip on my Limited gun is the best investment Ive made in a long time
