NearlyMissed
I made these with 1/2" steel tubing for the brackets. I just cut rebar for the rest. Used 2" recovery strap for hangers with a 1/2" hole melted thru. I like the way they turned out.

NearlyMissed
Hope so, but I have to get a chance to try them! Hope to stretch them out to 6-700 yards next chance I get.
jmorris
Might stop by the local fire department and see if you could trade some beer or pizza for some old hoses. They hold up a lot better than tie down straps due to being imbedded in rubber. Double them over the rod with a central attachment point also makes the steel more reactive and it's stiff enough so they settle faster.
