Jupo
I've called and left a vmail with MOA and have had zero success in determining the drill bit size to drill a hole to prep and tap the stock bolt release for an MOA Precision oversized bolt release. If anyone knows I'd appreciate the info.

openclassterror
My apologies. I was not made aware of your attempts to communicate. It is indeed a #6-32 thread, which uses a #36 drill. The button is hardened, so use cutting oil while drilling and tapping. Tom
kurtm
The RNT rapid release also works well and requires no drilling, taping or anything. Just slide it under the handguard.

CarRacer
I wanted to use the RNT release as well, but the design of the Stoeger forearm doesn't work with it. I tried sanding things to get it to work but it was never really as solid as I wanted. It's a slick design too, I was looking forward to using it. BBoyle
Can the RNT release be mounted to the hand guard permanently?
kurtm
Hmm the one I tried it on worked just fine, but I have a test number of exactly one. Anyway, yes it can be glued right to the handguard. Slightly inlet the handguard. Rough up both surfaces and epoxie it right in. kurtm
Trapr is running one on his 1301and didn't have to do anything but notch the fore end so it would fit flush. You might P.M. him and ask....Bigbrowndog on here.
Dave Marques
Thanks....I think that would be a good plan before I cut into the stock
SterlingSomeone
The bolt release is the last thing I have to put on today after receiving the competition package. It should not be to hard. I will post a pic after I am done.
